Let there be rumor and great excitement for the Shire of Sunderoak will,
on Saturday the 5th of June, 2010, host a Gold Chain Tournament.
Let all lords, ladies, barons, knights and squires of Our Realm: Marche of the
Debatable Land, Rhydderich Hael, Thescorre and Delftwood, Blackstone Mountain,
Endless Hills and also Saint Swithin's Bog, and any others of this kingdom and
all others of whatever marches, who are not banished or enemies of the king,
present themselves at this great festival of arms and very noble tourney - in
appropriate armor, with crests, coats of arms and any other displays of the arms
of the noble tourneyers, as is the ancient custom;
Of which tourney the sponsors are the very noble and skilled members of the
Chivalry of the Kingdom of AEthelmearc.
Consorts of all stations are most cordially welcomed and invited to be in attendance as spectators
and as inspiration for those who wish to earn renown on this day. A pavilion will be provided for your comfort
There will also be a covered area provided for those in attendance who wish to pass the time chatting and working
on A&S projects instead of following the action taking place on the list field.
The event will take place in the Rotary Shelter area of Butler Memorial Park
(Memorial Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001 - no street number) Join us for a
day of heavy weapons fighting
Site will open at 9:00 am and close at 9 pm.
Please refrain
from bringing alcoholic beverages - this is a dry site.
A light lunch will be available as well as an early evening sideboard prepared by THLady Katla Ulfhedinn.

Directions:
Take your best route to Interstate 422, Butler/New Castle exit (same one as Pennsic).
Make a right off the exit ramp towards Butler. Go approx. 20 miles to the Butler/route 8
south exit. At the bottom of the hill make a right onto West Penn Street.
**Go through 4 stop signs and at the 5th make a right onto Miller Drive.
Follow the brick road into the park and past the football field to the Rotary Shelter.
From the south via route 8 - Take Route 8 north through the City of Butler.
At the last light (bottom of the big hill) make a left onto West Penn Street. Follow from ** above.
